During World War II, Dyno-mite, the magazine published by the employees of the Millers Falls Company, became a vehicle for expressing patriotism and supporting the war effort. Many of the covers from this era featured such war-based themes as caricatures of Hitler, plugs for war bonds, and exhortations to productivity. The majority of working-class Americans supported the war, and Millers Falls employees were no exception. Employees serving in the Armed Forces received their issues of Dyno-mite for free. Letters from servicemen to co-workers back home were published regularly, and the use of the company's tools by armed forces personnel was a matter of frequent comment.
